Daisies were the theme for this large cake. All the flowers are made from royal icing well in advance of the wedding.

This lovely cake was for an outside reception. It's frosted in two tone buttercream. To acchieve this look, you have to make a template out of waxpaper with scallops. You tack the waxpaper inplace with a thin bead of icing and place it on the top part of the tier. Then you icing the bottom half with your colored icing and peal off. The swags hide the rough edges. Flowers are made of royal icing and the bows are set in place at the reception. Bakers fern and babybreath add to the bottom interest.

This cake was for an outside wedding. It was ivory color and silk gardenias topped it off.
